The work content varies depending on the location, so each location has its own unique character, but ultimately, the work at each location is connected by “recycling.” The president and others frequently visit the factories and are in close contact, so Oohashi’s strength is that we can respond quickly.
We respond immediately to issues that need immediate improvement, and when more thought is needed, we can respond quickly by holding meetings.

Currently, we hold general training sessions once or twice a year to share the company’s direction, values, and situation, and to focus on increasing communication. - The most important thing is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that my family is also working, but I also decided to join the company because I believe that the business of recycling over 90% of the waste electric cables that come to the Kanuma factory is a job that will be needed in the future.The company also offers comprehensive employee benefits, so I think it is an environment where I can feel secure both in my personal and professional life.

- I am in charge of sorting and crushing waste electrical cables.
Waste electrical cables are collected from various sites and brought to Ohashi.
We carefully remove any debris and dismantle the cables using methods appropriate for them.
It’s a struggle at first, but gradually we get the hang of it and are able to process them. However, it’s important to process them efficiently, so we clearly define the division of roles and strive to work well as a team. - What do you think are the charms and strengths of Oohashi?
- I think it is a strength that the cables we dismantle are transformed into resources that can be used again in society. It is a steady process, but we have accumulated technology little by little, and I believe that our technology will be useful in new fields in the future.

- Reasons for joining the company
- Not only was it close to my home and easy to commute to, but it was also a company that had been in business in the local area for a long time, so I thought it was the right choice. In fact, when I looked at Ohashi’s website, I thought it was a company that contributes to society by making the most of limited resources and not wasting them, and in a world where the term “SDGs” is thrown around a lot, I wanted to become someone who will be needed in the future, so I applied to join the company.
The benefits were also good compared to other companies in the area, which was a major factor in my choice. - Current job content and motivation
- We sort the covering materials and metals from waste electric wires, which is the final step in sorting the raw materials for Repy Board.
In the past, only the copper from waste electric wires was needed, but Ohashi has always considered covering materials to be an important resource. As a company with recycling technology that has been passed down for many years, employees are well evaluated, and their hard work is reflected in their salary and three annual bonuses. Of course, there are busy times, but there are also many holidays, and the treatment is better than my previous job, so it’s rewarding. - What do you think are the charms and strengths of Oohashi?
- I think Ohashi is a socially and environmentally friendly company that specializes in recycling, something that only a small or medium-sized enterprise can do. Their approach to resource recycling and the skills they have accumulated over the years are their strengths and appeal, and they prioritize quality when manufacturing recycled plastic products.

- At Nishizawa Factory, I received solid support from my seniors in the workplace, and I think the teamwork is excellent. I participated in a company trip in the fall of 2012, which was also fun, and the company-wide banquet was very lively.

- The working hours are from 8:00 to 17:00, and there is generally little overtime.
It is close to my home, and I have Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays off, so it is easy to plan my private time. I thought that the company is environmentally and socially friendly, especially in the aspect of manufacturing recycled products, and I wanted to be a part of it, so I applied to join the company. - Current job content and motivation
- I work to separate aluminum, iron, and coating materials from discarded electric wires.
This is work that I can do steadily at my own pace, so I think it suits me well. It does require some skill, but once you get used to it, you can work faster and produce a lot of recycled resources. My work helps to ensure that Toucan’s limited resources are not wasted, and I find it rewarding to be able to contribute to society. - What do you think are the charms and strengths of Oohashi?
- I think the recycling business that we have been running up until now is a strength. What makes Ohashi appealing is that we do not just turn recycled resources into raw materials, but also recycle them into products, and we are particular about quality.
